NextMoveAI Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

NextMoveAI does not require a bank connection. The numbers you enter in our tools are stored in your browser by default. They are sent to Veto, our AI money coach, when you turn on Veto memory or use the PRO AI Coach, which includes your saved numbers unless you disconnect them. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

NextMoveAI LLC, based in Albany County, New York, operates nextmoveai.ai. This policy applies to free visitors and PRO members.

What we collect and when

Our tools never ask for bank login details or Social Security numbers. PRO payments are handled by Squarespace, and we do not see your full card details. Please do not enter sensitive information into Veto, comments, or other forms.

How Veto uses your information

Veto uses the message you send and, when applicable, the saved information described above to prepare a reply.

  • Chat messages: Your question is sent to our server and Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI model, to generate a reply.

  • Veto memory: Memory is off by default. Free visitors and PRO members can turn it on in My NextMove. When it is on, relevant saved information—including income, spending, debt payments, money left over, your Financial Health Score and category scores, weekly step, and check-ins—is sent with your messages. Turn memory off at any time to stop sending it through this feature.

  • PRO AI Coach: The AI Coach includes your saved tool numbers with your questions unless you disconnect them on that page. You can still ask general questions after disconnecting.

  • Find Your Next Move: Your five quiz answers are sent to generate your result. Follow-up questions are sent with those answers.

  • Veto’s voice: When voice plays, the text of Veto’s reply is sent to OpenAI to generate audio.

  • Pay stubs: Uploaded images are sent to our server and Anthropic to read the numbers.

Where information is stored and who handles it

Tool numbers are stored in your browser by default. If you log in to sync, they are also stored in our database so they are available across your devices.

We use these providers to run NextMoveAI:

These providers process information to provide services to NextMoveAI and may also handle it under their own privacy terms.

Cookies and analytics

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies to run the site and provide basic visitor statistics, such as page views. NextMoveAI’s tools also save your numbers in your browser’s local storage so they are there when you return. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing so also removes numbers saved in your browser.

Your choices

  • Use the tools without an account. You do not need to log in. Your numbers are stored in your browser by default.

  • Control Veto memory. Turn memory on or off with the switch in My NextMove. It stays off until you turn it on.

  • Disconnect the PRO AI Coach. PRO members can stop including saved numbers with their questions on the AI Coach page.

  • Clear tool data. Each tool has a clear button to remove its saved numbers from your browser. If you are logged in, clearing the Score page also clears your synced score data. [Confirm whether clearing Score, Spending, or Debt Freedom Planner also removes totals shown elsewhere before claiming that it does.]

  • Stop syncing. Logging out stops syncing from that device. Numbers already saved in your browser stay there until you clear them.

  • Ask us to delete your data. Email info@nextmoveai.ai to request deletion of your synced data, email address, and free-question count. We will confirm when the deletion is complete.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t require a bank connection or bank login.

  • We don’t move money or act on your accounts.

Security

Our pages and server use encrypted HTTPS connections. Login codes expire after 10 minutes. Sync sessions and PRO access tokens expire after 30 days. No online service is perfectly secure, so we collect as little information as we can.

Children

NextMoveAI is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

Numbers stored in your browser stay until you clear them or clear your browser data. We keep synced data, your email address, and your free-question count until you ask us to delete them. Feedback is kept so we can improve NextMoveAI; email us if you would like yours removed.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date. For significant changes, we will also note them on the homepage.
